THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT
Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that works by exfoliating the skin, which helps to unclog pores and reduce the formation of blackheads and whiteheads. Once inside the pores, it dissolves the intercellular "glue" that binds dead skin cells together, facilitating their removal.
